Daily count of hair loss may differ from person to person. So, it is not right to give an exact quantity. Hair is also shed in its normal, healthy lifecycle and then, new hair grows in return. In androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss), hair is generally shed at the crown and the fronto-temporal regions, not on top of ears, sides and tape. So, if during pull test hair comes off from the crown and/or the fronto-temporal region, then it signals androgenetic alopecia. If hair comes off from top of ears, sides and tape, then it signals diffuse alopecia.

Some people may face an increase in hair loss in the first weeks of Folixir use. It is the result of shedding of the hair strands from the scalp that had already got into hair loss phase long before use of Folixir. Observing a temporary increase in hair shedding during the first few weeks of Folixir use is due to start of Pre-Anagen phase (pre-production phase) in the hair follicles. During Pre-Anagen phase, hair strands in the telogen phase are pushed by new hair strands that are being produced under the scalp, and then they come off the scalp. The process is called “shedding” and it signals the production of new and healthy hair growth by means of Folixir use. You should continue using Folixir at this phase and be patient. As a result, hair loss will stop in the following weeks and new hair growth will start and become visible in time. Another reason for observing a temporary increase in hair shedding in the first few weeks of Folixir use is that mildly frictioning your scalp during application of Folixir hair serum or washing your hair with Folixir shampoo sheds the “already dead” hair strands from the scalp, as if the autumn breeze sheds the dead leaves from the trees. It is worthwhile to note that the hair that is shedding today had actually died 3 months prior but remained in place until they get shed by a physical factor. Always keep in mind, however, that Folixir products start to help promote hair regrowth in the hair follicles as early as the first day of use.

Folixir is different than many other thinning hair products considering the fact that Folixir is highly potent on vertex, crown and anterior. In other words, Folixir is reliably applicable on all regions that may be affected by Androgenetic Alopecia.

Male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) is a genetic and hormonal condition. Since you are not able to change your genetic structure and hormones that cause hair loss, you should continue using Folixir products even after you get the expected and satisfying results. However, to maintain results, regular use of Folixir products set 2-3 days a week is recommended.

Folixir alone is sufficient to help prevent hair loss and help provide new and healthy hair re-growth. Using other products may cause side effects (e.g. Finasteride, Minoxidil, etc.) and they may not help you enough to get results you desire.

Finasteride is a synthetic drug that is primarily used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Since Finasteride is also effective on hair loss-causing DTH hormone, it is also used as a hair loss treatment. There are two types of enzymes that convert Testosterone to DHT: 5-Alfa-Reductase Type 1 and 5-Alfa-Reductase Type 2. But, Finasteride stops DHT formation by inhibiting only 5-AlfaReductase Type 2 enzyme. Whereas, the enzyme that is intensively available and dominant on the scalp is 5-Alfa-Reductase Type 1. So, Finasteride cannot sufficiently suppress DHT formation on the scalp although it is influentially effective in suppression of DHT formation in prostate and genital region. Furthermore, it might cause serious side effects. Some of the known side effects of Finasteride are impotence in men, decrease in the number of sperm (oligospermia), and gynaecomastia (abnormal enlargement of male’s breast). Women on the other hand should not use Finasteride. Women should not even touch Finasteride since it is absorbable through the skin. During pregnancy, it is possible to face with serious problems. If the unborn offspring is male, serious genital problems such as hypospadias (abnormal formation of male external genitalia) might be encountered.

Minoxidil is a synthetic drug used in anti-hypertensive drugs (drugs used to treat high blood pressure) for hypertensive patients. But, it is also known to increase vascularization and to widen the blood vessels around follicles (vasodilatation) as a side effect which temporarily supports hair growth. However, Minoxidil cannot fight against hair loss-causing DHT hormone, which is the main reason of male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). As a result, sudden and mass hair loss occurs when Minoxidil treatment is abandoned. Also, Minoxidil is known to have many side effects some of which are; hair formation on undesirable areas of the body, hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth on any part of the body), headache, cardiac rhythm disorder, visual disorder, hypotension (low blood pressure), dizziness, heart throb, irritation on scalp (e.g. searing sensation, itching, etc.), dandruff and photoallergic reactions. Lactating mothers should not use Minoxidil since it can pass to breast milk. On the other hand, Folixir products incorporate Proanthocyanidin, Adenosine, L-arginine and Panax Ginseng extracts which help increase vascularization around hair follicles through increased VEGF synthesis in hair follicles. Also, scientific tests proved that Proanthocyanidin - which is used in Folixir - increases hair growth by 160% in comparison to Minoxidil. Apply Folixir hair serum daily onto the dry scalp that was priorly cleansed with Folixir shampoo.

Apply 1 ml (a full dropper is 1 ml) of hair serum to the affected and surrounding areas successively at least twice (i.e. at least 2 ml in total). Standard recommended dose of serum to be applied is 2 ml. However, if the bald areas are large, or continuing shedding is severe or the scalp is excessively oily (which is an important sign that the active shedding phase is severe), then you may apply 3 ml or 4 ml of serum. For the ones having active shedding accompanied by extreme oily scalp, the ideal dose is the dose that suppresses the excess oil secretion of the scalp.

When applying, gently massage the hair serum onto the scalp with your fingertips until it completely dries out. Do not wash hair for at least 3 hours after you apply Folixir hair serum. It is recommended that you apply Folixir hair serum at night and wash your hair with Folixir shampoo in the morning.

It does not negatively affect the overall results of the complete regimen if you skip using Folixir hair serum 1 -2 days in a month. However, this should not be repeated too often.

If you dry your hair with hair dryer after using Folixir hair serum, efficiency of the serum will decrease due to evaporation. Therefore, please wait for your hair to dry by itself after using Folixir hair serum.

Folixir hair serum works through absorption from the scalp. If your hair is wet, efficiency of absorption will decrease. So, it is recommended to apply the serum onto dry scalp.

For better absorption of Folixir hair serum into hair follicles, hair and scalp should be clean and dry. So, you should wash your hair with Folixir Scalp Care Shampoo for Thinning Hair before using Folixir hair serum. You can apply the serum onto the scalp after your hair dries. It is recommended to use Folixir hair serum at night and Folixir shampoo in the morning daily.

As in all hair on our body, eyebrows and eyelashes have a life cycle. They get formed by the follicles, grow and then shed. However, their life cycle is shorter than the hair on scalp. The eyelines of the eyelashes and the skin of the eyebrows must be clean (free of makeup or other chemicals) and dry before the application. These serums are then applied using their own applicators. Eyelash enhancer serum must be applied as if applying an eyeliner. Eyebrow enhancer serum, on the other hand, must be applied by little strokes to the roots of the eyebrows along the natural eyebrow lines. However, applying a 3 weeks regimen when you realize that the strands are getting thinner will reverse the situation.

Ideally, before applying Folixir eyelash and eyebrow serums, the eyelines of the eyelashes and the skin of the eyebrows should be clean (free of make-up or cosmetics). However, if you need to use make-up in any case, you may apply mascara, eyebrow shadow or other make-up shortly after you apply Folixir eyelash and Folixir eyebrow serums.

False eyelashes are mounted on the eyelids with chemical glues. They unnecessarily add load to the eyelashes and eyelids; and when they come off or are removed, they shed or remove some of your own natural eyelashes. Therefore, false eyelashes are more a problem than a solution. Hence, we do not recommend using false eyelashes together with using Folixir eyelash serum, since it will harm the eyelashes and slow down the response to be received from the serum.

We suggest not to apply such dyes and chemicals on the skin. After all, those dyes and chemicals are foreign substances for the skin. Moreover, they may clog the passage ways to follicles, which consequently slows down the response to be received from use of Folixir eyebrow serum.

Regardless of the location of the transplantation, whether it is hair transplantation or eyelash or eyebrow transplantation, these interventions are all microsurgeries. While transplanting a new hair strand, microsurgeons cut the skin which inevitably harms tiny capillary networks and neighboring follicles, which may lead healthy strands to atrophy.
